The UZ-SF is an add-on to our popular UZ-XL Large Capacity Filter. The UZ-SF is designed to eliminate sediment and large particulates from source water prior to entering the UZ-XL filter. 

In systems with highly turbid water (often indicated by cloudy discoloration), this additional pre-filter will assist in the filtration process and allow for longer times between necessary back flushing of the UZ-XL. The UZ-SF should be installed between the water source and the UZ-XL, and is easily cleaned by opening the valve at the bottom and flushing water through the filter.
